He received acclaim for Dare to Be King: What If the Prince Lives. A Survival Workbook for African American Males, a thought provoking, 52-week curriculum teaching adolescent males how to survive and thrive in toxic environments.
Baba Henry Gregory, Ph.D. is a mental health professional with over thirty-five years of experience. He holds a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and master degrees in Community Mental Health and Psychology. Currently, Dr. Gregory is an assistant professor at the University of Maryland, School of Nursing. He also serves as the associate director for the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) Department of Psychology’s Center for Community Collaboration.
Joe Jones, is Founder and President & CEO of the Center for Urban Families (CFUF), a Baltimore, Maryland nonprofit service organization established to empower low-income families by enhancing both the ability of women and men to contribute to their families as wage earners and of men to fulfill their roles as fathers. Mr. Jones is a national leader in workforce development, fatherhood and family services programming, and through his professional and civic involvement influences policy direction nationwide.
Bobby Marvin Holmes, is an author, blogger, multimedia professional, social worker and educator. He founded Son of a Dream, LLC in 2008. Since 2004, Bobby Marvin Holmes has taught and mentored youth in several capacities ranging from juvenile treatment centers to classrooms. He is a culturally competent professional with a married skill set in youth development and media, which equips him to engage on various levels.
Corey Witherspoon, a founder of Seeds of Promise, a male mentoring program at Renaissance High School, which provides academic case management, 24/7 social and emotional support, life skills modeling and development.
Brian Morrison, PhD, is the Founder and President of the William J. Watkins, Sr. Educational Institute, Inc.a non-profit organization serving the educational needs of under-served and under-resourced youth in the metropolitan Baltimore area. He has been a public school educator, for over 35 years, serving in various capacities from substitute teacher to Principal. He is the proud father of five children and grandfather of eight.
Akil Parker, is an adjunct professor in the education department at LaSalle University. He teaches courses in K-8 Math Methods and Algebra Skills while supervising student teachers as well. He recently retired as a math teacher from the School District of Philadelphia, after a 13 + year teaching career. He utilizes an African-centered teaching approach, building bridges to history and mathematics. He owns and operates All This Math, LLC, a private math tutoring and math educational consulting business.
