The Issue
SB 202 reverses progress that we have made on police accountability in Maryland. It provides law enforcement with an additional mechanism to delay and dismiss charges of misconduct that are levied against them, making it even harder to hold law enforcement accountable. We continue to see cases of police brutality that in many cases have led to the deaths of Black men in Maryland over the last year or so.
We urge the House Judiciary Committee to vote no on SB 202.
The Challenge
Urge the House Judiciary Committee to vote no on SB 202.
